It all began about 12 years ago when John was an art director with 13 years of experience under his belt. He came to the same conclusion that many in the industry do – that too many agency people were going through the motions for the money, not for the spirit of what marketing and brand development is really about. When John decided to strike out on his own, he did not take any clients with him. His new agency may have had zero clients, but before long it had a stellar team of like-minded partners. John had plenty of street creds as an art director, Ken brought his world-class experience — and brilliant strategies, and Mai Li could take on impossible projects and make them go off without a hitch.
All three partners embarked on this highly-competitive enterprise with the firm belief that there were organizations out there that needed what EXCLAIM had to offer: an agency that eschewed personal gain in favor of producing work designed to get real results and achieve business goals for its clients. Eleven years later, that belief is still the central commitment and source of joy that binds them together – and the cause of their continued success.
